Fuel, coolant, antifreeze, oil, and washer fluid. Those are the only things I can think of that go in a car so where does the water go? Thanks.

Tina asked:

We have changed the fuel pump four times this year. It does not hold it’s 60 PSI, it slowly drops. The relay was changed with the last fuel pump change. It ran OK for a while. Now when the car is cold the fuel pump will not work (no sound at all). Once it warms up the car will start but slowly looses its psi. The fuel pressure regulator was also changed. It slowed down how much pressure was lost but did not stop the loss of psi. Where do I go from here. Any solutions or suggestions? I also have a problem with coolant loss. I don’t know if it is somehow related or doesn’t matter at all. The leak is slow and I have not been able to find out where it is. I have to put more water/coolant in every couple of weeks other wise I have no heat. Any in put would be appreciated. Thank you, Tina

I had my water pump, brakes flushed and fuel filter replaced at a Ford dealership recently and it cost me $460. They told me I was going to need new intake gaskets because my old ones are “seaping”. They estimate that at around $400. I called Buffalo Tire and Auto and they said that it would only arround $250. Now I think I got ripped off on the water pump, brake flushing and fuel filter.
