Which political party should I join?
I do not know which party to join, but I consider myself a Christian Democrat. Here are some of my view points.
Abortion: I believe in making abortion legal only in a situation where the woman would die. I however, would not do this unless adoption agencies, health care for children, easy access to education for the child, child care, and family planning organizations were easier to access or can be provided by the government.
Education: Support early childhood education, college tuition, and reward better teachers. Also I think everyone should have a chance at a great education.
Energy: I believe in making sure we replace our dependence on oil with clean coal, solar, wind, bio fuel, water, and other forms of energy that can be renewed.
Free Trade: I support Fair Trade to make sure we do not lose jobs, workers, or are disadvantaged more than what we gain.
Gun Control: I believe in stricter registration laws that make sure the person who buys a gun hasn’t committed a felony in the past 20 years and the person can be trusted with a gun. I do believe people should have the right to defend themselves.
Heath Care: I believe in supporting health care in a way very similar to Barack Obama.
Homeland Security: I would revise the Patriot Act so it won’t violate peoples rights as much.
LGBT Rights: I oppose marriage and civil unions for gays, but I believe they should be able to see each other in the hospital.
Social Secruity: I believe that some social secruity should be private so that people can choose what they want to invest in.
Stem cell research: I oppose stem cell research.
Taxes: I believe in progressive tax policies to tax higher on the rich and lower on the middle class.
Foreign Policy: I believe we should try to get support from the UN for wars, but if we don’t, I think we should still keep it an option. I also believe in trying to be a lot more peaceful than warbound. I believe that going to Iraq was a mistake because a civil war was likely to happen either way.

WALLACE
Your definatly a Democrat congrats.
Republicans want to do the opposite of almost everything you just said.
JEFFRY
You sound Republican to me.
TYREE
Why do you feel the need to join a party? Just vote.
SYLVESTER
No one should tell you what party to join. Read the platforms of all the candidates and pick the one that best suits your views.
That is what so great about America, we get to do that. Go USA.
OLIN
I would say Independent. Although I am not old enough to vote, I am more liberal, and share many of the same views as you. You are more in line with the Democrats (aside from a few places), but Political parties tend to just divide people. It doesen’t really affect how you can vote (except in primaries).
SANTO
That is a strange mix.
Why do you oppose all forms of stem cell research? Not all types use embryonic stem cells.
That is besides the point. You don’t need to join any party. Just vote for Obama, and call yourself an independent.
LAZARO
cro99999 has it right. It’s not about what party you’re in, it’s about the views that are important to you. Just get out & vote.
KORY
Why join a party if you don’t feel like you are represented by one?
There is no such thing as a “Christian Democrat” in the US. The Democratic Party does not promote a particular religion.
SHAYNE
You sound like a libertarian or a California Conservative.
I support all of the above except socialized medicine. I have seen how the government runs military healthcare and I wouldn’t wish that on anyone. The government can ***** up a one car funeral and you want them to make your healthcare decisions? NO THANKS!!!
I’ve been to Canada and Europe and have seen their healthcare systems and understand why those that can afford it come here for treatments.
Go to a city hospital on a Friday night and see how bad it is. Now you want that to be everywhere?
The problem with free healthcare is that people abuse it. They go to the Doctor for a simple cold or a hangnail. This clogs up the system for those that really need medical care.
The old saying “You get what you pay for” is 10000% true!
MANUAL
I’ve never understood the point of joining a political party. Truly.

If you love America, the Democratic Party has its faults, but it’s a damn sight better than the alternative. If, on the other hand, you would like to see America dismantled piece by piece and the spoils divided between the Saudis and the capitalist Chinese, the Republican Party may better reflect your treasonous tendencies.
LINO
You are a populist. Fiscally, you vote with the Democrats but when it comes to social issues you vote with Republicans. During hard economic times, populists vote for a Democrat. Note, populists are the ones who are usually exploited by the Republicans because they play on your Christian values and pretend to be more socially conservative when in reality, they are true libertarians and don’t care much about abortion issues, *** marriage, etc. It’s kind of like how McCain and Bush played up the “born again Christian” angle. The libertarian meme is “do whatever the hell you want but don’t touch my money.”
Long story short: The economy ***** right now so vote Democrat. Had this been a more social issues based year like 2000 or 2004 I would tell you to vote Republican.
