Water For Gas
Each week we learn more about the various water for gas products and technologies. It would be a comfort to be gaining enthusiasm and confidence in the viability of the ideas. But the more we look into the topic the more we find ourselves leaning toward the idea that water for gas, as currently presented, cannot deliver meaningful improvements to MPG performance for a car or truck.
The primary reason for this doubt is simply that it seems the energy needed to create the hydrogen gas is greater than the energy received by the engine in burning that gas. When that is the case, it is not possible to see improved MPG performance. If there are MPG performance improvements it seems most likely those came from some other changes, not from the water for gas system.
There are many articles and web sites promoting the benefits of water for gas. We advise anyone reading this to view those claims with caution and reserve. We think there is too much hype and sales fluff masking the simple underlying reality that meaningful MPG improvements cannot be achieved this way. Sorry about that. Wish it were otherwise.
